The Himalayan Public School is running Classes Playgroup, Nursery, Kindergarten, I to XII for the Academic Session 2015-2016 and is affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi. The school has been affiliated for ISC classes and the first batch of ISC passed out in 2014-15. The Himalayan Public School follows six-day routine consisting of 48 periods (each period is referred to as a 'school ' of 35 minutes each). On Saturday two periods are allocated for SUPW classes and two periods for co-curricular activities (C.C.A.). The overall student / teacher ratio is 25:1, and the average strength of a class is around 30 students. The teachers are assigned classrooms, while the students walk to their respective subject rooms/class rooms at the end of each 'school'. The twenty-minutes break after the first four periods refreshes their minds, stretches their limbs and gives them an opportunity to reflect on what has been taught or just chat with friends and have their Tiffin's en route.

Moral education is given to the children as one of the subjects. It is imparted by well-experienced persons, which help the children to develop their personality and mental robustness. Particular attention is paid to the ethical and moral training of the children with a view to develop them into responsible citizens.

The school prohibits corporal punishment and lays its faith in trust. The school believes that punishment should be corrective, reformative and not humiliating.

Computer Education The School has a Well equipped computer lab. Computers being an integral part of education today, the school imparts compulsory computer education to all the students from Class I onwards.

Scholarships Meritorius students who show outstanding performance in co-curricular activities are awarded trophies, certificates and various incentives. Shri Dev Dutt Memorial Scholarship of Cash Prize of Rs. 500/-, Rs. 1000/-, Rs. 2500/- and Rs. 5000/- are given to the student toppers of Primary, Middle and Senior sections respectively.

All the Parents should attend the meetings on the Report Card Day in order to know about the child’s progress in the school. Parent’s maximum co-operation is required to create necessary condition at home and in school to help the all round development of the students.
